TYH Foundation was founded on a simple belief: that strong communities aren't built in isolation, and the organizations doing that work — whether in a neighborhood in the United States or a town in Israel — deserve a partner who shows up for the long term.
What started as a commitment to a handful of organizations has grown into an ongoing partnership with groups across two countries, connected by a shared sense of responsibility to the people they serve. We don't see the U.S. and Israel as two separate portfolios — we see them as one mission carried out in two places, each shaped by the needs and character of its own communities.
We're not interested in one-time gestures. We look for organizations doing steady, credible work, and we try to be the kind of partner that helps them do more of it — with funding, with connections, and with the patience good work actually requires.
TYH Foundation exists to strengthen organizations across the United States and Israel that are responding to humanitarian need, expanding access to education, and building lasting connection between the two countries. We do this by providing funding, partnership, and support to organizations already doing the work — trusting that the people closest to a community's needs are best positioned to meet them.
We fund relationships, not just projects. The organizations we support know they can come back to us.
The people running programs on the ground know their communities better than we ever could. Our role is to support their judgment, not override it.
The U.S. and Israel are different countries with different needs, but we believe there's real value in the communities of organizations we support learning from one another.
We ask hard questions before we commit, and we stay close enough afterward to know whether the work is landing — without turning our partners' time into paperwork.
